dsh-tauri-notification sends Harness events through the native desktop notification bridge. Adjust reminders and sounds in Settings.

Notification settings

By default, reminders are suppressed when the window is foregrounded and you are viewing the matching session. “Always” removes this suppression.

Handle a notification

  • Click a notification to return to its session.
  • Where supported, approve, reject, or answer directly; Windows supports text replies inside notifications.
  • If the platform or action does not support this, complete the action in the session UI.
  • Stale approvals and questions do not submit old answers; multi-question forms collect all answers before submission.

Data and boundaries

  • Settings and custom sound data use the current WebView’s dsh-tauri-notification local storage namespace, not a separate backup file.
  • Clicks and actions depend on the desktop bridge, host service, and session APIs. OS notification policies may still suppress delivery.
  • Notifications may show response summaries, commands, or questions. Consider sensitive content on shared screens and lock screens.
